Move to the Central CoastYour local guide with Molly Lannen

A Central Coast move with a deadline.

In 2022, I helped relocation buyers purchase a home with more acreage and a target date for moving in. My role was to keep the purchase organized around that timing, stay engaged with inspections and contractual dates, and communicate with the professionals involved. We closed on time, and the buyers were happy with the home they chose.

What did the buyers want?

They wanted more land and a purchase that worked with their timing. Finding a property was one part of the move. Keeping the process on track was another.

What did I focus on?

I stayed on top of contractual dates and inspections. I also kept in contact with the lender, appraiser and listing agent so that the purchase continued moving toward the planned closing.

What was the result?

We closed on time. The buyers moved into a home with the additional acreage they wanted.

What can another relocation buyer learn?

Reach out early. A clear game plan gives us a starting point for the search and helps identify the people, dates and decisions that will need attention.

Questions about timing

Can every purchase close on a buyer's preferred date? No. This story describes one actual outcome. Timing depends on the property, contract, financing and other parties.

What should I share before beginning? Your target move date, property priorities and any timing constraints we should discuss.

When should I call? As early as possible so we have time to plan.
